Morgellons Research
Morgellons Research is ongoing through the CDC since they launched their study in December 2008. According to the CDC Morgellons Research study recruitment, examination of participants, and collection of samples have been completed. The CDC claims they are currently analyzing the data collected.
The contract for the Morgellons Research study was granted to Kaiser Permanente Northern California due to geographical location. A concentration in Morgellons victims has been reported in Northern California making Kaiser Permanente prime for conducting the Morgellons Research study.
According to the CDC they selected 500 participants to observe during the Morgellons Research study. Over two years later no useful information on findings has been reported and the site to keep Morgellons victims abreast of developments has not been updated or touched since November 5, 2009.
Many Morgellons victims conduct their own Morgellons research. Although results of their Morgellons Research are not recognized by the medical community it has brought to light evidence worth investigation. Some Morgellons research suggests the Morgellons fibers have magnetic properties which would explain the heightened crawling sensations while in close proximity to electrical devices.
The origin, source or composition of Morgellons fibers and Morgellons symptoms has yet to be identified. A treatment plan or cure for Morgellons disease is also unknown. Victims of Morgellons wait anxiously for the results of the CDC’s Morgellons Research study.
