If your skin or clothes encounter Poison Ivy, Oak, or Sumac, you must act IMMEDIATELY, especially if you suffer with a chronic allergy to it. The precise moment that the plant oil contacts your skin, you become defenseless to the imminent rashes, blistering, and agonizing itching! You will need to be prepared and clean it AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and hope it does not contaminate larger or sensitive areas of your body, like your face and genitals. The worst news is when you are unaware you've come in contact with the plant and you accidentally spread the oil to places around you and re-infect yourself and others!

About Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac
Poison Ivy grows throughout much of North America, but rarely grows at altitudes above 5,000 feet.
It can grow as a shrub up to 4 feet tall, as ground cover or as a climbing vine. The leaves are a compound of 3 smooth almond-shaped leaflets. The color of the leaves range from light green to dark green, turning red in the fall. The berries are a grayish white color and are a favorite food of many birds.
There are two main types of Poison Oak. These are Western(Pacific) & Atlantic. Western Poison Oak is only found on the Pacific Coast of the US and Canada. It can grow as a dense shrub or a climbing vine. Like Poison Ivy, leaves are a compound of three leaflets; however, the leaflets tend to have scalloped edges and often resemble the leaves of an oak tree. The color of the leaves range from light green to yellow-green to bright red, depending on the seasons. White flowers will also form in the spring and turn into white or tan berries as they develop. It is common that in the winter, Poison Oak plants will loose their leaves and only berries will remain. It is important to understand that even without the leaves, the Urushiol oil is present. Atlantic Poison Oak is found growing in forests, thickets and dry, sandy fields, usually throughout the Southeastern United States westward to Texas and Oklahoma. It can grow as an erect shrub up to 3 foot tall. The leaves are also a compound of three leaflets, which are usually hairy and often resemble white oak leaves. The color of the leaves range from green to yellow or orange in the fall. The berries are usually yellowish or greenish.
Poison Sumac grows exclusively in very wet or flooded soiled, usually in swamps or bogs in the eastern US and Canada. Poison Sumac is a woody shrub that grows about 4 feet tall. Unlike Poison Ivy and Poison Oak, the leaves are not a compound of three leaflets. Each branch may contain 7 to 13 leaflets. The steams from which the leaflets grow are always red and the berries are white or gray.
Do I have Poison Ivy, Oak or Sumac?
Severe itching is the first symptom of poisoning you will experience. Later, you will experience red inflammation and blistering of the skin. In severe cases, oozing sores develop and sometimes turn into clusters of tiny pimples, the pimples eventually merge and turn into blisters.
The fluid in the blisters turns yellow, dries up, and becomes crusty. The rash spreads by the poisonous sap (urushiol), not as the result of contamination from sores. The blood vessels develop gaps that leak fluid through the skin, causing blisters and oozing. Cooling the skin with cold compresses has often proven to help the symptoms and using antimicrobial products to neutralize the toxins so you itch less and also prevent secondary infection. The cycle can last as short as five days and in severe cases as long as five to six weeks.
Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac can cause:
Intense Itching
Redness
Inflammation
Burning sensations
Blisters accompanied by possible oozing and weeping

What a Difference in 48 Hours! When I get poison ivy, I get it really bad. I have had prednisone shots in the past and it cures it really fast.
However, I was determined not to get any more shots due to the side effects. I had poison ivy for 12 days when I found you guys on the internet and decided to get your product a try. I ordered the All Stop and had it shipped overnight, and since I had it for 12 days, it took about a few days to really see the difference.
I felt the difference in my itching in about 48 hours. A great product and I will be buying more of this product and telling all my family and friends.

Within days, the rash and swelling were completely gone. I purchased your product about 1 month ago. I am severely allergic to poison ivy. I have tried almost everything, when my last hope was All Stop . I decided to give it a try. With a money back guarantee, I thought, "What could it hurt? I received your product when my left arm was totally inflamed and swollen. My right arm was bad also, but not as bad as my left. I had always dealt with the poison ivy for 3 weeks before I would get relief. Once I received your product, I applied it several times a day. Within days, the rash and swelling were completely gone. A day or so after, another rash appeared almost in the same spot as the prior rash. I called in and talked to someone about the issue; they informed me that rashes can break out up to 10 days after exposure, and to continue to use the product for a few more days and see if the rash continues. I followed her advice and the rash did go away with no further outbreaks. I am happy to have a product I could finally rely on for future outbreaks.
After a couple of weeks, my husband became infected with poison ivy behind his knees. I told him to use the left over product. At first, he said it didn't seem like it was working. Within a couple of days, the rash was gone. However, now the initial outbreak has spread, covering most of his body. He is continuing to use the product but it is quickly depleting. That is why we have decided to purchase a new bottle. I will keep you posted to let you know how it turns out. So far we are very pleased to have purchased something that will work quickly and efficiently. Matthew and Teri, Marylan More Testimonials and Reviews

What should I do with the poison ivy plants? If Poison Ivy invades your yard, the last thing you should do is to burn the plants or try to remove them yourself. The two herbicides most commonly used for Poison Ivy is Roundup and Ortho Poison Ivy Killer.
What does the poison ivy plant look like? Under the right conditions, Poison Ivy will explode into a true shrub; usually on top of an old stump or a post, or on you if you stand still long enough. You can almost count on Poison Ivy growing at the edge of every field within its range. You will most always find it at the edge of every road, and the edge of every forest. In the open field, the grass usually wins over time, and in the deep woods the ivy probably cannot get enough light. When Poison Ivy grows near the ocean it tends to have curly, waxy looking leaves.
What causes a poison ivy reaction? Poison Ivy and poison oak rashes are caused by an allergy to the resin of these plants, called Rhus plants. You don't have to come in direct contact with the leaves, roots, or branches of Rhus plants to get the rash.
Poison Ivy, poison oak and poison sumac are the most common plants that cause a skin rash. A sap that comes from these plants causes the rash. The name of this sap, urushiol, causes an allergic reaction. It is not really a poison.
The poison oak plant has three green leaves per stem, with the leaves resembling those found on an oak tree. The plant grows as both a low and high shrub and flowers during the fall months of August through November. During the fall, the leaves of the poison oak shrub change colors, turning from green to yellow to red.
Features
The poison oak plant produces oil called urushiol. Urushiol oil is responsible for the rash that results from poison oak, ivy and sumac. Many people believe that only the leaves of the poison oak shrub contain urushiol oil. However, all parts of the plant including the leaves, stems, berries, flowers and roots contain the rash-producing compound.
Sensitivity
A common myth surrounding the poison oak plant is that a person allergic to the plant will always be allergic to it. This is not true. An individual's sensitivity to poison oak can change over time, and immunity to the urushiol oil may develop.
Effects
Contact with the urushiol oil will cause those sensitive to the plant to have a reaction. Wearing protective clothing may not prevent an outbreak of the rash if you touch clothing that has been contaminated with the oil.
Contamination
The poison oak rash is only caused by contact with the actual urushiol oil of the plant. Blisters caused by the rash do not contain the oil, so scratching at poison oak blisters will not cause the rash to spread. Additionally, poison oak cannot be passed from one individual to another once the urushiol sap is washed from the body.
Warnings
Urushiol oil can remain active on any surface it has come in contact with, including clothing and plants, for up to five years. Even contact with dead or dormant poison oak plants can result in an allergic outbreak.
